Athletics

My experience with LSU Softball shaped me through perseverance, discipline, leadership, teamwork, and a deep sense of community. I learned to push through challenges, commit fully to my goals, and lead with both strength and humility. Being part of a team taught me the importance of trust, respect, and showing up for others. Above all, representing LSU and its legacy of strong women instilled in me a responsibility to give back and inspire those who come next.

Perserverance

I’ve experienced some of the highest highs and lowest lows of my life with the three letters across my chest. In college, I poured myself into the game, dedicating countless hours to my craft day in and day out. I fought health issues my whole junior season, with doctor's appointments every week, rounds of testing, and my status as an active member on the team changing week to week. Ultimately, I had to medically retire. Going through something like this makes you question your why and what you're willing to do to make it happen. This journey has taught me resilience, passion, and how to persevere when those things aren't enough.

Discipline

One of the central challenges of my college experience was balancing the demands of Division I softball with earning a degree in biological engineering—two priorities I cared deeply about. The truth was, there simply weren’t enough hours in the day to give 100% to both, a hard reality that taught me the importance of balance and intentional prioritization. In practice, that meant waking up to do homework before breakfast on road trips, spending every spring finals week at the SEC Tournament, and taking summer classes to stay on track for a four-year graduation. These experiences pushed me to become more disciplined, efficient, and resilient—skills I’ll carry with me far beyond college.

Leadership &Teamwork

I believe that everyone is both a leader and a follower at different points in their lives. By nature, I’m a vocal and confident leader, but college athletics taught me that effective leadership isn’t just about speaking—it’s about listening. If you talk all the time, people stop hearing you, especially if they don’t feel heard themselves. True leadership is built on mutual respect and the wisdom to know when to step up and when to step back. Leadership and teamwork go hand in hand; being part of a team means you will be asked to lead at some point, and just like leadership, great teamwork is rooted in trust, respect, and shared purpose.

Community

A defining part of my athletic journey has been being part of the larger community that surrounds LSU Softball. As a Louisiana native, I’ve always understood the pride and responsibility that comes with wearing those three letters. I’m incredibly grateful to be part of a legacy of fierce, trailblazing women who came before me, and I strived every day to honor them and uphold the integrity of the program. My greatest hope was to inspire the next generation the same way I was once inspired.
